
On The Mat
On The Mat is my weekly virtual sitting practice. It is a space where we take a moment to pause and breathe. We give ourselves permission to lay it all down. Whatever we may be going through—grief and uncertainty, fear and anxiety, or stress and overwhelm—we lay it down here. It is in that lighter place that we return to ourselves.
Breathe.
We sit to cultivate inner spaciousness and freedom. In this way we meet ourselves and the events of our lives, differently. To sit is to take a conscious pause and ground ourselves in the moment. We all need a moment.
Pause.
My sitting approach is a combination of guided relaxed breathing, brief talks, and an intentional return to the breath before closing.
